Michael A. Church is Founder and CEO of Nest Egg and serves on Nest Egg's Investment Committee. In addition, Mr. Church is Founder and CEO of Addison Capital, the sister company to Nest Egg. Addison Capital is a Registered Investment Advisor with over $650 Million in Assets Under Management headquartered in Philadelphia, PA. His primary role is monitoring the financial markets for investment opportunities. Mr. Church's analysis of economic sectors and companies within those sectors serves as the foundation for the universe of stocks considered for the firm's Target List.
Mr. Church previously managed the Church Capital Value Trust fund, a Five Star Morningstar rated mutual fund and the Church Capital Money Market fund. Mr. Church also co-managed $2.5 billion in assets under management as Senior Portfolio Manager at Church Capital Management, a registered investment advisor based in Yardley, PA.
Mr. Church is a frequent guest on CNBC, Bloomberg TV, and Fox Business. He is also regularly quoted in The Wall Street Journal, MSN Money, The New York Times, and Businessweek, among other national publications.
Mr. Church co-founded the Elpis Foundation in Philadelphia. He also serves on the Finance Committee of Rider University.
Mr. Church attended Lafayette College and received a MBA in Finance from Rider University.
Michael J. Durette serves on Nest Egg's Investment Committee. In addition to his role at Nest Egg, Mr. Durette is also a Portfolio Manager and on the Investment Committee of Addison Capital, the sister company to Nest Egg. Addison Capital is a Registered Investment Advisor with over $650 Million in Assets Under Management headquartered in Philadelphia, PA. In this role, Mr. Durette oversees all Institutional relationships, working with Institutional Clients on portfolio management and execution of Addison Capital's Target Lists.
Prior to Addison Capital, Mr. Durette managed portfolios for High Net Worth individuals at Fisher Asset Management, a boutique investment advisor with $70 billion in Assets Under Management.
Prior to Fisher, Mr. Durette worked at Citigroup Smith Barney where he also managed portfolios for institutions and High Net Worth individuals.
Mr. Durette attended Lafayette College and graduated with a BA in History from The University of Maryland, College Park.
Jennifer Laster is the Vice President, Director of Operations at Nest Egg. She is responsible for overseeing the wide array of operational processes, which allow our Advisors to efficiently serve and assist clients in meeting their personal and financial goals.
Prior to joining Nest Egg, Mrs. Laster was an Audit Manager at Kreischer Miller. With over 8 years of public accounting experience, Mrs. Laster provided traditional audit and accounting services to a variety of clients in the investment, professional services, distribution and employee benefit plan industries. She was also an instructor for Kreischer Miller's in-house professional training seminars.
Mrs. Laster obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in Accounting, from Bloomsburg University. She is a Certified Public Accountant in Pennsylvania. She is a member of the American and Pennsylvania Institutes of Certified Public Accountants.
Charles Scavone is a Vice President, Director of Marketing, and Senior Investment Advisor who works directly with Nest Egg's Institutional and Private Clients. In this role, Mr. Scavone helps develop global asset allocation models that meet each client's investment objectives. Prior to working with Nest Egg, Mr. Scavone was employed with Fidelity Investments as a financial representative and full trader. Previous to his time with Fidelity, Mr. Scavone was a Marketing and Communication Specialist with Jabil Circuit. Mr. Scavone currently carries his Series 7, Series 63, and Series 66 Certifications.
Mr. Scavone has extensive knowledge of all financial products including Equities, Fixed Income Instruments, ETFs and Mutual Funds. Mr. Scavone holds a BS in Marketing and Analytics from Bentley University.
Hussein Jaber is the Director of Client Relations, and a Senior Investment Advisor who personally supports Nest Egg's Institutional and Private Clients. Mr. Jaber focuses on establishing global asset allocation models that fulfill each client's investment objectives. Before joining Nest Egg, Mr. Jaber was employed with Fidelity Investments as a financial representative and full trader. In that role Mr. Jaber assessed the investment strategies of clients while ensuring complex issues and trades were processed with accuracy and timeliness.
Mr. Jaber has extensive knowledge of all financial products including Equities, Fixed Income Instruments, ETFs and Mutual Funds. Mr. Jaber enjoys assisting clients in clearly identifying financial goals and delivering the appropriate solution for their objectives.
Hussein Jaber holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the American University of Beirut along with his Series 7, Series 63, and Series 66 licenses.
Daniel Parker is the Director of Trading, and Senior Investment Advisor who works with Nest Egg's Institutional and Private Wealth Clients. His primary focus is on ensuring those clients achieve optimal portfolio allocations and market exposure specific to their investment goals, risk profile and liquidity needs. Prior to working with Nest Egg, Mr. Parker served as a Portfolio Manager overseeing $350 million in assets with a High Net Worth group serving both Private Wealth and Institutional clients at Morgan Stanley, then Merrill Lynch. Mr. Parker began his career on the Floor of the New York Stock Exchange making markets in a Specialist Trading firm with Walter Frank Specialists and Goldman Sachs, respectively.
Mr. Parker has a comprehensive understanding of portfolio construction and execution utilizing Equities, Fixed Income, Alternatives and Cash Equivalents and strives to help clients achieve a comfortable understanding of their portfolios and their expected performance. Mr. Parker holds a BA in Psychology from the University of Dayton.
Steve Dowden is the Chief Distribution Officer at Nest Egg. He is responsible for overseeing all new institutional client acquisition, on-boarding and program development. Steve is also a Partner at Nest Egg and serves on the Board of Directors.
Prior to joining Nest Egg, Mr. Dowden was President and CEO of National Planning Holdings. A broker dealer holding company with over 500 bank and credit union clients and 3500 financial institution and independent financial advisers. Steve has also served as Chief Operations Officer for National Planning, President and CEO of INVEST Financial, President and CEO of CUNA Brokerage Services during his 37 years of industry experience.
